Pioneer in the recycling of polymetallic resources

The Metallurgy and Chemical Engineering Design Department has successively undertaken the engineering consulting and design of more than 100 enterprises including Yunnan Tin Group, Yunnan Copper Group, Yunnan Aluminum, Chihong Zn & Ge, Sihuan Zinc & Germanium, Huayou Cobalt, Yuntianhua Group.


Main achievement

1 Lead and zinc processing:

1.1 The world's largest lead and zinc smelting oxygen pressure leaching autoclave

Hulun Buir Chihong Mining Co., Ltd. lead-zinc smelting project electro zinc oxygen pressure leaching project, design scale 200kt/a lead and zinc.

1.2 Comprehensive utilization of crude lead, electro zinc and slag

Yunnan Chihong Huize 60,000 t/a crude lead, 100,000 t/a electro zinc and slag comprehensive utilization project won the National Quality Engineering Award.

1. 3 Comprehensive recovery and utilization of zinc oxide fume

Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co., Ltd. Qujing zinc oxide dust comprehensive recovery technical transformation project has achieved a win-win situation for environmental protection and economic benefits, and has played a demonstrative role in building a green factory.



1.4 Zinc dross comprehensive recovery treatment sprayed zinc powder

The demonstration zinc powder preparation project built with its own patented technology took less than one year from the design to the production standard. The project design fully embodies the green, low-carbon, and intelligent construction concept.

3 Titanium

3.1 The first Kroll Process Titanium Sponge production project in Yunnan Province

The titanium sponge project of Yunnan Xinli Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., the design scale: 10kt/a titanium sponge. This project is EPC, introducing the complete process technology and main equipment of the molten salt chlorination refining, reduction distillation, crushing packaging, magnesium electrolysis and magnesium refining of Titanium Institute of Ukraine. KERI optimizes the design. The project was awarded the 2015 Ministerial Excellent Project of China National Association for Non-ferrous Metals Industries Construction.



3.2 Asia's largest direct current electric furnace smelting high titanium slag plant

Yunnan Xinli Wuding High Titanium Slag Plant has introduced equipment and technology with the current international advanced level and domestic first-class level. The project won the first prize of National Excellent Engineering Consulting Achievement.



4. Aluminum

4.1 The first aluminum oxide plant in Yunnan province

The 800kt/a Wenshan aluminum oxide project-phase 1 and 2 is the first project nationwide which produces coal gas with lignite through CATTGM Engineering, the project undertakes including water supply, raw material, thermoelectric power, red mud transportation, stockpiling and mining systems outside the plant area.

4.2 Top hydroelectric aluminum project domestically and internationally

The 100kt/a project of electrolyticcell innovation and aluminum alloy material manufacturing of Yunnan Aluminum Runxin, employs clean energies and pre-calcination electrolyticcell YK240, leading technology and equipment, which features high production and efficiency, energy efficiency, and low consumption, investment and pollution.



5. Silicon

The only demonstration silicon industry plant nationwide

The project of Yunnan Yongchang Lead-Zinc Co., Ltd. with capacity of ferrosilicon 50kt/a and industrial silicon 50kt/a won the 1st prize in excellent engineering design in China’s nonferrous industry.
