Mining Engineering Design Department is one of the main consulting and design departments of Kunming Engineering & Research Institute of Nonferrous Metallurgy Co., Ltd.(KERI) And has geology, mining, shaft construction, ventilation, filling, mining machinery, mineral processing, mine general layout, tailings, machine repair, cableway and other specialties.

The Mining Engineering Design Institute mainly undertakes engineering design, technical consultation, mining rights consultation, mine safety assessment, tailings project and construction project management of nonferrous, ferrous, chemical, building materials, gold, non-metallic mines and passenger and cargo transportation cableways.

Since the establishment of KERI in 1953, the Mining Engineering Design Department has completed over 1,000 domestic large and medium size mining engineering design projects. And has won nearly 40 provincial and ministerial awards.

Mining Engineering Design Department has accumulated extensive experience in both domestic and overseas over mining engineering design and construction and EPC projects. Especially the open-pit mining and underground mining, mineral processing design, which reflect the expertise of Mine Engineering Design Department. Participated in the completion of Yunnan, Sichuan, Qinghai, Guizhou, Canada, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, South Africa, Congo, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Bolivia and other more than 70 domestic and foreign mining engineering design and technical consultation work.
