The Municipal Engineering Design Department has seven divisions: general layout planning, water supply and drainage, thermal energy and power, HVAC engineering, environmental protection, energy conservation, and soil and water conservation.
Technical expertise and main performance
The general layout planning is mainly engaged in the general layout design of industrial enterprises, site selection, waste dump, roads of factories and mines, railway transportation, urban planning, industrial park planning, urban roads, highways, and civil building site design.
The water supply and drainage is mainly engaged in the design of water intake, pipelines, water plants, regional water supply and drainage pipe networks and sewage and wastewater treatment in urban factories and mines.
The thermal energy and power engineering is mainly engaged in the engineering design of thermal power stations, industrial and civil boiler rooms, waste heat resource recycling power stations, and boiler water treatment, pressure pipes, boiler dust removal, desulfurization, and denitrification.
The HVAC engineering is mainly engaged in engineering design of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, dust removal, and cleaning.
The environmental protection is mainly engaged in the metallurgical electromechanical, mining, social area environment impact assessment reports and environment impact report forms, and the preparation of environmental protection chapters in other engineering designs.

The energy conservation mainly focuses on mining and smelting projects, and also performs energy conservation assessment work for various real estate projects. Since 2011, more than 40 energy-saving reports have been compiled, all of which have passed the technical review at one time.
Water and soil conservation is mainly engaged in the water and soil conservation plan preparation, soil and water conservation monitoring, acceptance of roads, railways, airports, hydropower stations, power plants, mines, smelters, slag storage, tailings storage facility, power transmission and transformation, municipal roads, landscape parks, river improvement, real estate, land improvement and other projects, and land reclamation plan preparation, etc. More than 500 projects of various types of water and soil conservation plan preparation and more than 500 consulting engineering contracts have been completed. At the same time, it actively participated in the compilation of specifications for water and soil conservation design guidelines for production and construction projects and technical specifications for water and soil conservation of development and construction projects of the Ministry of Water Resources of the People’s Republic of China; and joined the Chinese Society of Soil and Water Conservation and the Planning Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Soil and Water Conservation as a member.
